Daddy Daughter Date Night

Daddy and Addy had their first Daddy Daughter Date tonight.

She wanted to dress like a princess and even went as far as telling Daddy how to dress (as if that's ever an issue)!!

Daddy Daughter Date Night was sponsored by ChickFilA.

They literally rolled out the red carpet for this exciting evening...

...and ended it with Addy's first limo ride! 

Apparently she thinks a limo is a perfect opportunity to watch TV and take a nap. 

That's our girl :-)

Soakin Up The Sun

The long-anticipated Memorial Day finally arrived!!

We decided to celebrate this special day with some family time at the beach...the FAKE beach that is!

We took the kids to our local park to play on the playground and let B do a little fishing.  They also went swimming in the lake and played on the faux beach. 

This was the perfect opportunity for some faux pictures :-)

They soaked up a little too much sun but had a great day!

 

 

 

 

It's Official-

Addy had her official first hair cut today.  Her hair has been growing for 5 years straight, with the occasional trim.  I think I cried a little :'-(

Believe it or not, she actually wanted it shorter!!

So Proud!!

Brayley received an award for A Honor Roll for the entire year of 1st grade!

Addy graduated from Pre-K.  She will be starting "big girl school" this fall!

Again, horrible picture. So very sorry!

 

 

B drew himself a town on our driveway today with sidewalk chalk.

He started with the most important venue, Seddon Baptist Church!

He then went on to add CVS so he can "get some medicine when he is sick" and

Bass Pro Shop "just because."

 

He is a crazy, silly mess and we love him!!

Addy-isms for Mother's Day

 

"ALL ABOUT MOM

 

Let me tell you about my mom.

My mom is    45     years old.

She likes to      lay down    .

The best thing she cooks is

           cupcakes          .

Her favorite food is   waffles        .

Her favorite thing to do to relax is

                 take a nap             .

We like to   have girl time   together.

She is really good at

As you can see, my mom is special because

Apparently I age well, lie down/nap a lot and

cook/eat sweets a lot in my 5 year olds eyes!!

Still makes my heart melt!!

Noccalula Falls

Addy's class took a field trip to Noccalula Falls. 

This was not her first time there but she didn't remember any of her previous trips.

They had lots of fun...

She got to hand feed some of the animals at the petting zoo.

Some of the animals got a little too close for my sanitary standards...
