The long-anticipated Memorial Day finally arrived!!

We decided to celebrate this special day with some family time at the beach...the FAKE beach that is!

We took the kids to our local park to play on the playground and let B do a little fishing.  They also went swimming in the lake and played on the faux beach. 

This was the perfect opportunity for some faux pictures :-)

They soaked up a little too much sun but had a great day!

Party? What Party?!?!?!

My sweet husband threw me a surprise birthday party for my "25th" birthday!  He did such a fantastic job planning the whole thing that I really think he should consider being a party/event coordinator.  He invited all of our friends, my work friends, and even my college friends/ sorority sisters.  A lot of people drove a long way to help me celebrate this day and I appreciate it so much :-)

Thanks to my wonderful husband for making this dreaded day a GREAT one! I <3 U!!

Thanks also to all of my thoughtful friends for helping him, for all of the great gifts and for celebrating with me!!

The 3-0 plan:

As the long dreaded day approached, I took a look back at my 20's and realized... Man I was busy!!!  I got my first apartment, got my first car, got married, graduated college, moved to the "big" city, had my first child, had my second child, and much more.  So, I have decided that in this next decade I am going to relax and enjoy my life and my family. I am sad to see my 20's go but I look forward to this 3rd decade of my blessed life.

Addyson's School Birthday Cupcakes

Addyson's Birthday is on Thanksgiving Day this year so we had to share her cupcakes with friends at school a few days early.

Brayley was soooooo excited to take his Spider-man Birthday Cupcakes to school to share with his friends...

Brayley's 4th and Addyson's 2nd

We celebrated Brayley's and Addyson's Birthdays just a few weeks early this year with a Spiderman Web Maze, a cake scavenger hunt, Crown and Super Hero Cape crafts, bouncing, swinging and sliding.  Brayley was totally surprised when the real Spiderman "came out of the TV" to come to his party.  Addyson couldn't get over her fear of Spiderman to be amazed that a beautiful Princess was there to see her!!  We had a blast and I'm sure the kids enjoyed all the fun, too!

***Amber's 80's Bash***

We helped Amber celebrate her 30th birthday by dressing in the crazy, colorful fashion of the 80's. We had 80's themed food, 80's novelties and 80's trivia! We had a blast!!

Birthday Par-DAY!!

It was a morning full of blow-up slides, bouncy basketball, toddler hockey, Dora and Diego cake and presents galore! We celebrated Brennan's 2nd birthday and Addison's 3rd birthday. Brayley had a blast climbing and sliding! Addyson, on the other hand, wasn't too thrilled with any of it! This causes Brandon and I to rethink the party plans for her November birthday!!


The afternoon was filled with riding toys, swings, burgers, hot dogs and Elmo cake! With Aiden's family and friends, we gathered around to watch him blow out his #2 and open all of his presents. Brayley and Addyson enjoyed ANOTHER piece of cake with no hesitation!! After the party people "turned and burned", it was time to cheer on the Tigers as they strolled on to victory over Mississippi State!! WDE!!
It definitely was a fun-filled Par-Day!!
